how to find the vertex on a graphing calculator

Hi Friends. Ever since I have encountered how to find the vertex on a graphing calculator at school I never seem to be able to cope with it well. I am a topper at all the other chapters, but this particular section seems to be my weakness. Can some one aid me in learning it properly?
